The VA series is an electronic speed controller that allows for continuous adjustment of fan speed, ranging from 100% down to approximately 30% of maximum speed.
When controlling multiple identical fans, the combined full load amps of all connected fans must not exceed 85% of the controller's maximum rating.
Ensure that all fans are of the same type.
This controller can reduce power consumption by up to 70%.
Motors must be compatible with speed control.
Warning: Consult our Sales Department before using VA controllers with EV fans or models equipped with run-on timers.
Note: To reduce electronic hum from larger PSC (Permanent Split Capacitor) motors, connect a constant active to the start winding through the capacitor, while regulating the run winding with the speed controller. (Requires a 4-wire connection.)
PSC motors are also known as Capacitor Run motors.
